Types of Challenges:
Easy - 10 points
Medium - 20 points
Hard - 30 points
All challenges must be done in rated battles (i.e. on the ladder) and only victories will be counted regardless if whether or not the challenge was completed (Unless specifically stated otherwise in the challenge itself).
Challenges must not be completed on any of the Other Metagame formats (1v1 is not an acceptable Tier.) unless specified otherwise.
Replays of challenges must be from the week of that particular challenge. We won’t accept replays of things you have done in the past if it does not align with the week that challenge is active. If you feel you have a special circumstance feel free to pm a @ or a #.

Participating in Challenges:
After you have completed a challenge, click the "Share Replay" button and PM a member of roomstaff with the replay link, the name of the challenge (including the challenge code), your username, and your current Elo. Please do not spam staff with your challenges, one time is enough as we all have things to do as well and we will get to you when we can. If you feel a staff member is taking too long or is AFK feel free to pm another staff member as well but be sure to tell the original staff member that you PMed that you found another person to verify your challenge. This will prevent overlaps and make it easier on us. If no staff is available we also have a form for your to send in your completed challenges as well. You can find that form here:
http://tinyurl.com/ChallengesReplaySubmission
Please note it is important that you actually save a replay and provide us with an actual replay of the match. Do not send us the link of your match that you were playing in as it will have timed out and we won't be able to view it. You must also save the replay after your ELO score shows up. That way we can view and score you based off of your rank with our Rating Multiplier. If a replay ends in with an error on the ladder this must be shown on the replay as well. We will then score you based off of your current rank with a deviation of plus or minus 20 depending on the circumstances and where you currently stand in terms of ELO.
Replays that end in a forfeit from the opponent or as a result of inactivity can still be submitted to the staff to win points. Replays that end in such circumstances must show either a clear victory and or completion of the challenge as a whole. If such circumstances are in question a staff member may verify if you have completed the challenge or not. These replays should only be submitted when the opponent forfeits with a maximum of 2 Pokemon remaining.
Replays that end in a forfeit or a loss on your end, either due to inactivity or an actual loss, will be rejected as the challenge will count as incomplete. Challenges that require specific items must show that item being used on all Pokemon. (Only applies to items that can be seen such as Toxic orb, Flame orb, etc.) Challenges that require all Pokemon to use/have a specific move(s) must be shown in the battle each Pokemon using said move(s).
Challenges can be done on an alt as long as you include what name you used on the leaderboard when you send the challenge to a staff member so we know who it is. Include both your alt's username and your main username.
If a staff member finds that you have not completed the challenge their decision must be respected. If you truly believe that the submission replay met the requirements of the challenge you may address a Moderator (@) or Room Owner (#) and they can provide a second opinion. For verification, you should contact staff that are designated for the room, as global auth may not necessarily be part of, or understand how the room works. A list will be provided at the bottom of the page of the staff and their position as to show who you may submit replays and challenge submissions to.

Point System:
The point system will be based primarily around the general difficulty of the challenge and your current ELO in addition to our Rating Multiplier. Difficulty of the challenges, both created by the staff and submitted challenges, will be set forth by the staff in terms of general difficulty. A bonus of 20 points will be awarded for those who complete all of the weekly challenges. Points earned will be also altered depending on the player's ELO rating. Here is how the system works.
Rating Multiplier:
1000-1199=x0.8
1200-1399=x1.0
1400-1599=x1.4
1600+=x2.0

Rules to remember:
1. Global rules still always apply and can be found here: http://pokemonshowdown.com/rules
2. Trolling, being disrespectful, personal attacks on people, and generally anything that would be considered unsavory or suspect is strictly forbidden (This includes inappropriate names that are an attempt to illicit hate).
3. Please do not spam. This includes posting replays multiple times in both the chat room and PMs. Please be patient we will get to you. Posting a particularly interesting replay is allowable, but please post once only.
4. Be a good user both in positive chat presence and helpfulness with others. You must win the battle unless the challenge states so specifically. Challenges must be done on the official ladder (Ubers, OU, UU, RU, NU, LC, and any related suspect tests). Battles must have your opponent carrying a full 6
5. Please do not minimod. We understand you are trying to help and we appreciate it, but please alert staff (%, @, #) if there is a potential issue we are not seeing. This will prevent arguments and such in the room.
6. On the same note please do not discuss promotions or demotions of users in the chat room. These decisions are not taken lightly and we have already discussed them at length. You will be promoted when staff feels you deserve it through a mix of activity in doing challenges, being a good user, and being active in chat. Asking for a promotion will not only set this back but will possibly earn you an infraction.
7. Should an issue arise with any user (staff included), please try your best to solve the issue via PM with said user. If that is not possible however feel free to PM staff or if the issue includes a staff member the next highest member of staff.
8. Idle Chat is greatly encouraged as long as its appropriate. Feel free to use the chat for any subject you want (within reason). This includes discussing various strategies used to complete challenges to help out or get help from other users.
9. Asking for special treatment from your opponent will result in the challenge not being valid and/or additional penalties (included but not limited to asking for: forfeits, not to forfeit, and letting you do challenges).
10. Infractions may be handed out from time to time if these rules are broken. Infractions may not be discussed in main chat under any circumstance. If you feel the infraction was too hard or unjust, PM a staff of a higher level than the one who awarded you the infraction. Be aware, however, if the infraction was clearly deserved and you are attempting to troll by appealing, additional infractions may be awarded. This includes PMing multiple Staff with your appeal. If your appeal is turned down by a staff that decision is final. You may not ask another staff or attempt to go higher.
11.Most importantly have a good time. We hope to provide a fun and unique experience for all of you and that is our most important goal. If you feel you have suggestions or ideas to make things run better feel free to let a staff know. This is your room as much as it is ours.
ANY BREAKING OF THESE RULES COULD EARN YOU AN INFRACTION WHICH CAN INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: WARNINGS, MUTES, TEMPORARY/PERMANENT BANS FROM THE ROOM, AND POINT DEDUCTIONS. INFRACTIONS ARE UP TO STAFF TO DECIDE AND WILL NOT BE DISCUSSED IN MAIN CHAT. SEE RULE 9 FOR APPEALS OF THESE.
